Corrosion reistance, thermal shock resistance, and high temperature stability are benefits from these Carbon Rings.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
MTL Carbon/Graphite Raschig Rings offer long packing life and high efficiency for many corrosive and high temperature separations. These Rings are excellent for applications including:
• Halogen acid processing
• Hydrofluoric acid manufacturing
• Phosphate fertilizer manufacturing
• Sodium/potassium hydroxide scrubbers
• Applications involving high thermal shock
Stocked in six size to meet all packed tower requirements.
 
FEATURES

Low coefficient of thermal expansion, resists damage caused by severe shocks.
May be used in most acids, alkalies and solvents. (Not recommended in highly oxidizing conditions.
Light weight and high mechanical strength with no soluble bond.
Long life packing with high temperature operating capabilities. Used in chlorine-hydrochloric mixtures and phosphoric acid.
Fully carbonized to eliminate extractable impurities.
Raschig rings are shapes of tubular carbon used in quantity to create a randomly packed bed for various material processing
functions. The rings provide a large surface area for interaction between the carbon and the material being processed.
Benefits derived from the use of carbon Raschig ring tower packing are corrosion resistance, thermal shock resistance and high
temperature stability.
